I am Deco Sister.

Everyone’s home has furniture inside.

So today, I will talk about the areas that you need to pay attention when choosing furniture.

Generally, there are three types of furniture.

The first type is the ready-made furniture.

If you buy the ready-made furniture,

You need to discuss the renovation process with the worker in advance.

Because only if you have chosen the furniture,

And know the size,

the workers can start doing the renovation with flooring and space partitioning.

A space with 1 mm less can lead to a big mistake

that a furniture may not be able to fit in.

They second type of furniture is custom-made.

Due to spacing problem, we need to have custom-made furniture most of the time

To make the most use of every inch of area.

The process of making custom-made furniture is to discuss the style first.

After completing the space partitioning and flooring work,

you can do the measurement.

Finalise with the custom-made furniture staff and send the data to the factory to make.

One thing you need to pay attention to is that

Most of the furniture factory will have deviation in size.

Thus, you need to arrange a worker on site to help you adjust the size and fix the problem.

Otherwise, it will affect the use.

The third type of furniture is to have the carpenter to make it on site.

This method costs the most.

Whether the final product is good or not depends on the skills of the carpenter.

The advantage of this method is that

The size must be correct and will fit in without doubt.

What kind of furniture do you want to have?

Let we talk about it in next video.

This is the end of the video.

See you next time.

Floor renovation – Basic flooring materials︳Deco Sister’s Home Hack

There is flooring at every home. But what are the common flooring materials? How to choose? Floor renovation Basic flooring materials︳Deco Sister’s Home Hack – with Deco-man. Visit https://www.deco-man.com/ for more decorating and design ideas!!

Hi, welcome to Deco Sister’s tips.

I am Deco Sister .

There is flooring at every home.

And we have contact with it no matter where you go at home.

As the usage rate of the floor is high.

We need to be careful when choosing the flooring materials.

What are the common flooring materials?

How to choose?

The first type is floor tiles.

The floor tiles are made of clay that’s been baked at extremely high temperatures.

They come with different patterns.

The common size are 500 mm, 600 mm, 800 mm and 1000 mm.

The tiles are in square shape that makes it easy to pave.

However, it is cold to walk on the tiles,

especially when you walk with bare feet in winder.

The second type is the wood block.

It is also made from clay with high temperatures.

They look much better than the square floor tiles.

There are various sizes for the wood block.

But they are all in rectangle shape.

It requires skill to pave the wood block

because they have higher ratio for the length and width.

They are prone to bend under expansion and contraction.

Therefore, skills and patience are needed when paving the wood blocks.

The third type is the engineered wood flooring.

If you are afraid that you will get cold with floor tiles,

Wood flooring is your best choice to give you more comfortable touch.

Engineered wood flooring is made from the solid wood.

It is more difficult to do maintenance.

They are not water- and scratch-resistant.

Although they are easy to pave,

they can only be paved on flat surface.

The seamless wood floor is similar to the engineered wood flooring.

They are made with wood materials and glue and are compressed together.

They top layer are scratch-resistant.

The floor patter is not natural but artificial.

As long as they are not wet,

they have a longer durability than the engineered wood flooring.

In addition to the above common flooring options,

there are different types of flooring materials that you can choose from on the market.

Let me share with you next time.

This is the end of the video.

See you next time.

Bye!

Hi, welcome to Deco Sister’s tips.

I am Deco Sister.

Do you aware that in the time of Spring,

the wall will become damp?

And then the black mould will accumulate on the wall.

It will spread to bigger area from time to time.

First, we need to know that mould is a fungus that grows.

They can grow everywhere

In mass production,

as long as the condition and the environment that favours their growth.

Secondly, due to the weather in Hong Kong,

especially in spring

after winter

that the floor is not yet warm.

But the warm and moist sea wind that is blown from the south ocean

meet the cold wall that causes condensation.

Lastly, the building materials.

If the building materials contain nutrients, the mould will grow.

Any materials that is organic favour the mould to grow.

Such as the limestone powder,

Wood wall, wallpaper, wooden furniture.

They are all the favourite spots for mould.

Even when we have shower,

the dander and oil that is washed off and stick to the tile can cause mould.

Therefore, when you do renovation at home,

If you use the organic building materials

but do not do any anti-mould treatment,

and you cannot ensure that you can make your home dry and airy during spring,

even if the renovation is done great,

there is a high chance that mould will accumulate at home.

After knowing the causes of mould,

I hope everyone can get rid of it.

This is the end of the video.

See you next time.

Bye.

How to drill stainless steel?

I had introduced metal drill bit in last episode

In this episode, I will use Diager 6.5mm metal drill bit with 5% cobalt to drill stainless steel

Let see how it perform!

When we drill metal, we need to have a puncher

Hammer, metal cutting oil, metal drill bit and of course a drill

First of all, we use puncher to punch a hole on stainless steel

Puncher is used to prevent dislocation during drilling metal

Secondly, adding cutting metal oil to prevent drill bit overheating

Thirdly, when drill and metal drill bit are ready

You can start drilling hole on stainless steel

Please remember to add cutting metal oil occasionally

This action can prevent metal drill bit from overheating

It is that easy to drill stainless steel

I will talk about concrete drill bit in next episode

In the last video,

I showed you guys the different types of drill bits.

In this video, I will demonstrate how to drill into concrete.

I will use an impact drill and a hydraulic drill to drill into concrete.

As you can see, it is much slower to use an impact drill to drill into concrete compared to the hydraulic drill.

It took 45 seconds more to use impact drill to drill a hole into the concrete.

However, if you use a hydraulic drill,

It only took about 10-12 seconds

to drill a hole.

Let me give you a tip when using the impact drill.

You can start with a smaller drill bit.

And then use a bigger one, such as the 6.5mm or the 8mm drill bit

to make it easier to drill a hole.

Last tip to share.

When I start drilling, I will press the power button for several times.

To make a concave hole first,

And then drill into it to avoid displacement.

What can we do to prevent drill dust flying everywhere when drilling?

You can take it out the drill bit from time to time when drilling.

The move can prevent the dust

from bursting out at last.

This is the end of the demonstration.

See you next time!

How to fix the water seepage problem temporarily?

In this video, I will share a method to

fix the water seepage and leaking

problems temporarily.

If you tighten the Anti-Vac bottle trap too hard,

the bottle may break, and cracks will appear that leads to the water leakage.

In this situation, you can use the magic steel glue stick.

Rub it and take appropriate amount to fix the cracks.

In just 5 minutes, it will form the shape and will be hardened in one hour.

This magic steel glue stick can be applied in water,

Which is suitable for fixing the water leaking problem in pipes.

Let me show you how to do it.

Firstly, take out the appropriate amount of the magic steel glue stick.

Secondly, rub it completely.

When you loosen the pipe and the Anti-Vac bottle trap,

You will see a little crack here.

So, what to do now?

Cover the crack

with the rubbed magic steel glue stick.

Give a little pressure on it

To make it seal the crack completely.

After sealing it,

the magic steel glue stick will be hardened.

Then the water leakage problem is solved!

Fixing the cracks in water pipe or the Anti-Vac bottle trap is that easy!

Remember, the magic steel glue stick

takes one hour to harden completely.

Therefore, you need to wait at least one hour before using the pipe again.
